The overall title of this group of works is Permutations 3: Pompeii. All three image works made thus far. Each work is a single sheet consisting of between two to thirteen images, each drawn from the same group of.

My plan is to make, as demand warrants, up to 25 sheets with three images, up to 25 with four images, and so on, up 25 sheets or works with 13. Each sheet will be a unique arrangement of images, that is, an edition of one. The overall title of all the sheets or any group of them is Permutations 3: Pompeii, but each sheet is uniquely titled with the series title followed by numbers. The images and image order (read in each row left to right and then top to bottom, stopping at an image larger than the one to its left with each column also read top to bottom) are determined using random numbers, while the "architecture" (size and arrangement of images) is determined based on aesthetic criteria. The image area on each sheet is equal to the area of the same number of images were they all equally sized at 6.75X9 inches. These are printed with a three inch white border on all sides, which can be included or matted out in framing, preferably with white, gray, or black matte; for "Permutations 3" I would suggest gray. Statement 4: Permutations includes more on my intent for this group of works.

Though each sheet is a separate work, I believe that they will benefit greatly from being shown three or more at a time. Fred Camper
