I curated these four programs and spoke on each, in addition to giving hour and a half lectures on Brakhage in Lodz and Warsaw. For each program, the films are listed in the order in which they were shown. The full four programs were presented in Warsaw; a single traveling program I selected was shown in Lodz, Krakow and Gdansk. In all four cities, at least a few people indicated to me afterwards that they had been deeply moved by the films. One man in Warsaw wrote to me afterwards that he had never seen anything like Dog Star Man before, and that it left him "flabbergasted." As always, deeply affecting a few people matters more to me that what the average viewer thinks, but in general the response seemed gratifyingly enthusiastic. Fred Camper

Krakow: December 15, a short introduction to Brakhage at 6:30 PM was followed by the screening, with commentary, Bunkier Sztuki Gallery, Szczepanski Square no 3a, ph. +48 12 422 4021. There was a screening of the documentary Brakhage, by Jim Shedden, on December 16 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
Gdansk: December 17, 5 PM, a screening with commentary was preceded by a short introduction to Brakhage at the Laznia Center for Contemporary Art, Jaskolcza street no 1, ph. +48 58 3054050
