UPDATE: We held the first two sessions as indicated below. I enjoyed mine, but attendance was low. At the moment, I think I'll only schedule another if someone requests one. If you really want to talk, I'll schedule one for just one person; just let me know.
As mentioned in class, the course Teaching Assistant, Cheryl Park, and I will offer optional discussion sections occasionally, to allow for more interaction. Cheryl will have a short presentation on a specific theme (watch this space for more details in few days); I will most likely respond to questions and comments, which I hope will be wide-ranging and honest. I can also bring videos of one or two of the films we've seen, if someone would like to discuss a specific sequence (please request this by emailing me), or I might choose a short sequence myself, though if comments and discussion take up the whole time that would be fine. — Fred
The first two are scheduled for:
Wednesday, October 11, at 4:15 PM (Cheryl Park)
Thursday, October 12, at 4:15 PM (Fred Camper)
Both will be in Room 620, 112 S. Michigan, and will last about an hour.
Attendance, of course, is optional; these are for your benefit. Interested students are invited to attend both; we will each have different views, and different approaches.
